This kit is excellent for hydroponic gardening. The sponges are great, the domes are the right size, the cages are just right, the stickers adhere perfectly, and the tweezers were a really nice addition. I have not tried the nutrients because I typically use liquid nutrients, but the kit was worth it even without the nutrients.
I've had my Garden Cube for about a year now and it still works great! It's easy to use, easy to set up, and the plants grow so fast that you'll be lifting the light stand in a week or two. The food is neatly packaged with tops that double as measuring cups, so there's no problem maintaining good water/nutrient levels - you just mix the food with water and pour it in. My first "crop" was herbs, and now I'm growing violas. They just look beautiful, spilling over the sides and turning their little faces toward the light. Both the herb/veg setting and the flower setting have worked well, producing large, healthy, long-lived plants both times. I use filtered water for mine as we have hard water here and the pump is still going strong. It's a great value and a nice way to have fresh herbs or flowers wherever you want them.
